Cars for Sale in Nevada

There’s, obviously, much more to Nevada that just huge deserts, very long stretches of open highway and the country’s epicenter of hedonism and irresponsibility (that’s Las Vegas, for those who need the hint). But let’s face it, those are by far the most dominating, visible and well-known aspects of this state. When you come to Nevada, chances are you’re going to either be doing a lot of driving through the desert, or you’re going to be doing a lot of what people do in Las Vegas.

But let’s say that you want to focus on driving. There are plenty of cars to help you do that. There are, in fact, 574 dealerships across the state with cars for sale, many of which help generate some $4 billion in new car sales alone. Nevadans on average drive 12,493 miles annually in the 1.3 million registered cars found throughout the state, supporting nearly 40,000 auto industry jobs.

So where exactly can you do all that driving? Try any of the 50,000 miles of roads found throughout the state. Those roads are some of the most famous in all of cinema history. There’s so much open road that it’s easy to film on it without being interrupted. As such, Nevada roads have been featured in films such as Lethal Weapon 4, Breakdown, Rain Man and the cult classic Vanishing Point. And the state's Highway 50, known as the Loneliest Highway in America, received its name from Life magazine in 1986. There are few road stops in the 287 mile stretch between Ely and Fernley.

Just be sure that when you’re in Reno, you don’t place a bench or a chair in the middle of the road. That’s against the law.
